We are all familiar (tired of?) with the phrase "butts in seats", and often it's one of our main goals in growing sales. But, one overlooked aspect of running our businesses is getting more "feet on the floor", as in more high-quality team members that we can retain and that will grow with our organization. Below, we highlight one of our reader's creative approaches to standing out in a "sea of sameness" that Craigslist has inevitably become.
We love this approach because not only does the headline spark curiosity, but as an applicant reads through the ad, they either quickly buy in and reply, or they are quickly passing. Which leads to higher quality applicants who seek purpose in their work and want to join your team.
The Template
This copywriting framework has worked for years, yes years, for one restaurant group. They publish this semi-weekly and consistently have dozens of applicants from every ad. 7. You tell everyone how amazing your life has become.
8. Your friends come on over and join the fun.
Advice:
Don't ignore this opportunity. If nothing else it will provide you the opportunity to meet some cool new folks in the industry.
One more thing:
Don't worry about perfecting every detail of your resume! We’d rather get to know you in person anyway. Don't go press your pants or buy a suit! Don’t be sloppy, but dress comfortably, we want you to be YOU.
